Plays very nicely with perfect intonation, no neck work needed. This guitar has a really nice, full sound with great resonation and is very easy to play. Similarly one may ask, are vintage Silvertone guitars worth anything BTW, it’s only worth anything if you keep the parts original. Two of the best-known Silvertone offerings are the Danelectro-built Silvertone 14, made in the early to mid-1960s. This is an awesome guitar, This was advertised originally as a 'Concert Guitar", when it was sold new and can have a loud voice, but I have played it recently and it can play any type of music, and it stays with it, slow and sweet or rocking and playing the blues. The guitars, especially the 1960s models, are frequently prized by collectors today. This guitar is solid with no repairs needed and doesn't seem to have any repairs done to it, which is incredible for this age. The top binding is real binding, not painted as on many. This guitar has been well used over the many years, and well taken care of. It has the right amount of relief, just enough to make it work properly ![]() ![]() Neck is straight, looks like ebony board. The action is low, especially for this guitars built in this era.
